A few years ago I was facing the same problem when my oldest son was trying to decide what to study in college. He was a High School senior with many doubts. I was able to guide him using the same coaching techniques that I use in my work with CEOs, executives, and entrepreneurs. But I also learned a few things in the process. There is a lack of understanding about what really matters and keeps us happy and satisfied once we finish college and start our professional lives. While working with my son, I was unable to find resources for parents or students to help answer the key questions of choosing a degree or to guide parents and students into looking for the right answers. And that's when our work began.
Hello! I'm Hector Correa, creator of College Major Formula. With more than 25 years of experience as a technology and business consultant, I have worked with Fortune 100 companies such as JP Morgan, Walmart, SaraLee, Kraft Foods, to name a few.
As a professional life coach, I work with high-level executives and entrepreneurs from the United States, Canada, and Mexico. My true passion is working with students to help them discover their calling and embark on a career that leads to long-term success and fulfillment.
Education is at the center of my heart. When I'm not conducting workshops, I dedicate my time to nonprofit organizations in Mexico, the United States, and Africa. I am honored to serve as a member of the board of trustees of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA), one of the most recognized STEM schools in the United States. I also serve on the board of directors of The Dandelion Philosophy in South Africa and collaborate with Educando WorldFund in the United States and Promesa Educativa in Mexico.
